El club español Villarreal anunció la destitución del técnico Marcelino García Toral y según informó el medio Marca, la primera opción para reemplazarlo es el chileno Manuel Pellegrini.

De acuerdo a la publicación, la salida de García Toral se produjo luego de "varios desencuentros" con el club.

Además, señala que "la prioridad del conjunto amarillo es cerrar la contratación de Manuel Pellegrini".

"En el caso que no consiga el sí del técnico chileno, buscará en el mercado nacional un nuevo entrenador", complementa Marca.

Manuel Pellegrini estuvo al mando de Villarreal entre el 2004 y el 2009, llegando hasta semifinales de la Liga de Campeones y además fue segundo en la liga española.
