El actor Paul Mescal fue el escogido para protagonizar una nueva película de "Gladiador" a cargo del director Ridley Scott.

Si bien se desconoce cuál será la trama de la cinta, Variety reveló que el personaje de Mescal no estará conectado con el que Russell Crowe se consagró en la cinta del año 2000.

La dirección y producción estarán a cargo de Scott, mientras que el guión lo realizará David Scarpa, quien ya trabajó con el director en "All the Money in the World" y en la aún no estrenada "Napoleón".

Por su parte Paul Mescal es conocido por protagonizar la serie "Normal people" y la película "Aftersun".
