El estadounidense Fred White, el ex legendario baterista de Earth, Wind & Fire, murió este fin de semana a la edad de 67 años.

La noticia de la muerte del músico fue revelada por su hermano Verdine White, fundador y actual líder de la banda de Chicago, aunque no reveló causa del fallecimiento.

"Nuestra familia está triste hoy por la pérdida de un miembro de la familia increíble y talentoso, nuestro amado hermano Frederick Eugene "Freddie" White", expresó su hermano.

El baterista se unió a la agrupación en 1974 y grabó desde "That's The Way Of The World" (sexto álbum) hasta la pausa del grupo en 1984.
