El actor estadounidense que tuvo participación en películas como "Forrest Gump" y "Sweet Home Alabama", Bob Penny (87), falleció el día de navidad, según publicó el Laughlin Service Funeral Home en Huntsville, Alabama. 

Poeta de oficio, Penny ejerció 32 años de su carrera como profesor de inglés, especialmente en la Universidad de Alabama en Birmingham. Fue después de jubilar que comenzó a participar en roles televisivos y en el cine. 

Consiguió un pequeño rol en la película de culto Forrest Gump con el papel de "amigo" y durante su periodo como actor apareció en 30 películas, incluida "Mi primo Vinny". 

Además, participí en siete capítulos de la serie de la NBC "En el calor de la noche", protagonizada por Carroll O'Connor y Howard E. Rollins Jr..
