El actor Andy Serkis fue confirmado dentro del elenco de "The Batman", la próxima película sobre el héroe de Gotham que estará protagonizada por Robert Pattinson.

Fue el mismo director Matt Reeves quien confirmó que Serkis interpretará al mayordomo de Bruce Wayne, Alfred Pennyworth, en la cinta.

El protagonista de "El planeta de los simios" se integra a un nutrido elenco ya compuesto por Pattinson encarnando a Wayne, Paul Dano como Riddler (El Acertijo), Zoë Kravitz como Cat Woman y Jeffrey Wright como el comisario Gordon.

Otro que podría incorporarse a la cinta es Colin Farrell, quien negocia para el papel de El Pingüino.

"The Batman" comenzará su fase de producción a comienzos de 2020. Su fecha de estreno tentativa está fijada para junio de 2021.
