Desde la Corporación Nacional Forestal (Conaf) se informó que la Alerta Roja que se mantenía en Padre Hurtado fue cancelada, luego de que el incendio forestal ocurrido en la comuna fuese controlado.

El siniestro ocurrió en horas de esta tarde en el sector El Trebal y consumió una superficie de nueve hectáreas de vegetación.

La Conaf había informado que se trataba de un siniestro con intensidad alta, debido a que en un comienzo, a las 17:30 horas, se informó de dos hectáreas afectadas y pasada una hora se consumieron un total de nueve.

Además, desde el organismo alertaron que las viviendas cercanas estaban siendo amenazadas por el fuego.

En la zona trabajaron cinco técnicos, cuatro brigadas, un camión cisterna, dos helicópteros y bomberos de Padre Hurtado y Peñaflor para controlar el incendio.
