Un conductor falleció este sábado tras perder el control de su vehículo en un paso nivel en avenida Bellavista, a la altura del canal Televisión Nacional, Providencia. 

La víctima cayó desde unos cinco metros de altura, resultando su muerte inmediata en calle Inés Matte Urrejola.

El teniente Marco Jiménez de la Prefectura Santiago Oriente detalló que el hecho ocurrió alrededor de las 9:30 horas, cuando "este vehículo que circulaba por avenida Bellavista, al tomar la curva frente al canal de Televisión Nacional y pasar sobre el paso nivel, pierde el control del vehículo y cae desde la altura, aproximadamente cinco metros, desde el paso nivel hacia la calle que pasa (por debajo), Inés Matte Urrejola".

"A raíz de la velocidad del impacto, el conductor pierde la vida de manera instantánea, lo que fue corroborado por personal SAMU y Bomberos", agregó.

Funcionarios de Carabineros realizan diligencias en el lugar, por lo que el tránsito se mantiene cortado.
