La Corporación Nacional Forestal informó que se logró contener el incendio forestal Arbolillo-San Vicente, que consumió un total de 2.600 hectáreas de bosque, matorrales y bosques de pinos en la comuna de San Javier, en la Región del Maule.

Debido a que el siniestro está contenido en todos sus flancos, la Dirección Regional de Senapred canceló la alerta roja comunal y declaró alerta amarilla.

Durante esta jornada trabajaron en lugar siete brigadas, dos skidder y dos camiones cisterna de Conaf, además de dos ambulancias y cuatro helicópteros dispuestos por Senapred.

El fuego, que comenzó la tarde del domingo, logró afectar, finalmente, a siete viviendas y tres galpones en distintos sectores rurales cercanos a la ruta Los Conquistadores.

El fuego consumió, además, siete vehículos que estaban dentro de una propiedad viñetera, pero el saldo no indica víctimas fatales o lesionados.
