Un sismo de menor intensidad se percibió a las 20:17 horas de este miércoles en las regiones de Valparaíso, Metropolitana, O'Higgins, Maule y Ñuble.

El Centro Sismológico Nacional indicó que la magnitud fue de 5,3 en escala Richter, con epicentro localizado 53 kilómetros al oeste de la comuna de Navidad.

El SHOA indicó que las características del movimiento telúrico "no reúnen las condiciones necesarias para generar un tsunami en las costas de Chile".

La Oficina Nacional de Emergencia reportó intensidades de IV grados Mercalli en Chépica, Lolol, Navidad, Paredones, Pichilemu, Santa Cruz (Región de O'Higgins) y Constitución (Región del Maule).

"No se reportan daños a personas, alteración a servicios básicos o infraestructura producto de este sismo", agregó Onemi.
