El ministro de Transportes, Juan Carlos Muñoz, celebró este jueves la habilitación del bus eléctrico número mil en el sistema de transporte capitalino.

En la inauguración del primer electroterminal en Renca, la autoridad dijo que "habían elementos que estaban muy al debe, uno de los cuales era la calidad de la flota. La flota que se adquirió al principio del sistema Transantiago fue envejeciendo extraordinariamente rápido y hoy día hemos podido avanzar en ir saldando esa deuda".

"Hoy día festejamos el camino que empezamos de renovación de los buses eléctricos hace ya seis años atrás. Se está dando un paso y un hito importante al marcar el bus número mil", agregó.

Muñoz estima que en seis meses serán dos mil los buses eléctricos en la capital, los que equivalen a un 32 por ciento de la red.
